LogiMat 2023

LogiMAT 2023 Recap

Storage Solution’s first-time attending Europe’s largest annual intralogistics exhibition, LogiMAT, was a great success! LogiMAT 2023 was held at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Center in Stuttgart, Germany and featured an overview of the intra-logistics sector, from procurement to production to delivery.

We sent three of Storage Solution’s own across the pond to attend – our president, Nate Storey, our CEO, Kevin Rowles, and our VP of Business Development, Tim Bangert. Both Kevin and Nate participated in an interview with our newest partner, Jungheinrich, where they discussed the warehouse of the future.

“We were honored to join the Jungheinrich team in their booth at LogiMAT this year. We appreciated the opportunity to discuss how our complementary businesses and company values will help us push forward to the next level.” said Nate Storey, President of Storage Solutions.

Looking Forward to Connecting at MODEX 2020!

MODEX 2020 is right around the corner! From March 9 through the 12th, the World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia, is going to host nearly 1,000 exhibits of the latest and greatest technology and equipment for the supply chain industry.

MODEX is the biggest event of the year organized by MHI. MHI is the nation’s largest material handling, logistics, and supply chain association. According to the MODEX 2020 website:

“As the speed of manufacturing, supply chain, and transportation operations continues to accelerate, the future of our industry depends on today’s forward-thinking decisions. From illuminating education to next-generation technology and equipment in action, MODEX lets you see what’s coming — and take advantage of it to power your supply chain with endless possibilities for years to come.”

Connect. Learn. Rinse. Repeat.

The Storage Solutions team is going to be there in full force. We look forward to connecting with our partners and vendors from around the country. It is a great time to catch up and learn from each other’s developments. We are also looking forward to meeting and learning from new companies that we have yet to connect with!

Our Vice President of Operations, Nathan Storey, is excited to be a Tour Guide for Student Day. On March 10, Student Day offers CTE, high school, and university students to learn from real-world discussions from supply chain industry experts. Also, they will complete with a guided tour of the show floor and networking opportunities from professionals who can support their career growth.

In addition, there is so much more taking place that week! From the conference to the key speakers, we’re excited at the opportunity to learn from our industry’s best and brightest. Plus, Peyton Manning will be there! The conference is one of the highlights of our year for many members of our team.

Wrapping Up Global Cold Chain Expo 2019

That’s a wrap on Global Cold Chain Expo 2019! This concludes our third show in the Windy City. We were excited to meet with everyone to discuss needs and learn more about the cold storage industry.

What is the Global Cold Chain Expo?

The Global Cold Chain Expo is one of the largest gatherings of leaders in the foodservice and cold chain industry. With so many industry leaders there, we are ecstatic to be able to share ideas and collaborate with so many different people.

Greg Michel, one of our National Accounts Managers, attended his first show this year and shared his thoughts.

“GCCE was a great opportunity to help grow brand awareness for Storage Solutions, Inc. The show brought in a captive audience from around the country, which allowed us to connect with future customers and share what Storage Solutions, Inc is all about. Overall, I believe it was a great event and I look forward to future GCCA events. ”

ProMat 2019

That’s a Wrap on ProMat 2019!

We had a great time in Chicago last week for ProMat 2019! It’s always a great start to trade show season when we can bring back so much information from a large show like this.

What is ProMat?

ProMat is one of the largest tradeshows in the material handling industry. This gives us the opportunity to meet and collaborate with other industry leaders to enhance how we do business with you. Our main goal is to bring back information and ideas that help us serve you better.

We normally send 10 to 20 employees to ProMat, and this year was no exception. While we are always excited to send employees that have attended every year, like Tim Fonderoli, we are also happy to hear about the experiences of first-timers like our Inside Sales Manager, Zach Cole.

“The first thing that struck me was purely the size of the trade show and the number of vendors/booths there were. I enjoyed walking around in search of products/systems I hadn’t seen before or didn’t know exactly how it applied to our industry, which lead to some interesting conversations and new contacts. Overall – great experience and exposure to the larger scale picture of our industry.”

We had a great time at the show and can’t wait for MODEX next year, and hope to see you there!

Modex 2018

Come See Us at Modex!

Modex is nearly underway in Atlanta! From April 9th through the 12th, Atlanta will be hosting the trade show at the Georgia World Congress Center, and we will be there!

What is Modex?

Modex is a tradeshow that highlights manufacturing and supply chain industry standards. This show connects people with others in the field, facilitating networking opportunities and exchanging ideas for best practices in your industry.

So what does this mean for us at Storage Solutions? We have been attending Modex since it started, and every year, our team comes back with great ideas for use of technology and innovative solutions for our clients. We will also be sending quite a few of our employees to the trade show. Tim Bangert, Tim Fonderoli, Eric McDonald, Dani Hasty, Frank Blanton, Brian Blanner, and Kevin Rowles will all be in attendance.

Tim Fonderoli states, “Modex allows me to show my customers hands-on how a system comes together to maximize their storage area and make it more efficient and cost-effective. Plus, this gives us a chance to speak directly with the manufacturer in case our customer has a unique application rather than the normal rack and shelving storage.”

Storage Solutions representatives will be on site for the entirety of the show, so make sure to say hello!

IFDA Conference 2017: That’s a Wrap!

IFDA has come and gone and after a great conference, we can confidently say that we are bringing back invaluable information about the industry. After our few days in Maryland, we are excited to use our new resources to help you!

We learned a great deal of information about the industry’s best practices and how to incorporate them into our business. In addition, the show was a great networking opportunity. Meeting many other people in the industry all over the country gave us the opportunity to learn from their experiences, and implement them in our day-to-day operations. It’s been another terrific trade show and we can’t wait for next year!

Furthermore, Aaron Resiak, one of our attendees, spoke highly of his experience. “IFDA was a great opportunity to learn more about the challenges and hurdles put on the foodservice distribution industry.  Experience from working with previous clients allowed us to share our insights and grow our understanding of the various solutions.  No doubt, we look forward to continuing our support within the foodservice market and appreciate the opportunity to grow our footprint in this valuable industry.”

Visit Our Booth at the IFDA conference!

It’s almost time for the IFDA Conference in National Harbor, MD at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, and Storage Solutions will be there!

What is the IFDA Distribution Solutions Conference?

The conference is ultimately about helping foodservice operations management work smarter, better, and faster! This conference provides resources and insights to improve your operations, addresses key people issues. Furthermore, it helps you get your head around the latest professional procedures and technologies.

IFDA describes itself as a place to see the latest technologies and hear the latest best practices in food distribution. In addition, attendees will gain insights on issues from warehousing and transportation to human resources and regulatory compliance.

So what does this mean for Storage Solutions? Well, SSI has been attending the IFDA conference since 2012 in order to learn more about the industry’s best practices. We will also have two employees at the show this year, (Aaron Resiak and Brian Blanner) so make sure to come see them!
