2017 has quickly come to an end and we must say a lot has happened in the past 12 months for our employees – everything from engagements to grandbabies. To be exact, there was one engagement, one wedding, four babies, and two grandbabies. All of us at Storage Solutions have been thrilled, so we thought we would share the excitement!

The engagement. Nick Nigro proposed to his girlfriend, Courtney, of 3 years this past July. They were on a family vacation with Nick’s family in Michigan, when he decided to pop the question. Congratulations, Nick!

The wedding. On October 22nd, Carl Greeno watched his wife, Erin, walk down the aisle. The wedding was at Mustard Seed Gardens in Noblesville, IN. Carl and Erin had dated for 6 years before getting engaged. Carl, we wish you and Erin a lifetime full of love and happiness!

The babies. Andy and Nicole Goebes were given the opportunity to adopt a beautiful little girl, Riley, in May.

Billy and Jenna Powers welcomed their 2nd little one, Madison, into the world in June. She was 7lbs 15oz and 20 inches long. Kennedy, the big sister, has been over the moon with her little sister.

Nate and Jen Storey had their 3rd child this year. Samuel was born in September weighing 8lbs 6 oz. and 21.5 inches long.

Finally, Dan and Becky Storey also welcomed their 3rd bundle of joy to the family this year. Luca was born in November weighing in at 8lbs 2 oz. and 20.25 inches.

The grandbabies. Tim Fonderoli gained his 4th grandchild in February and Jack Fritsche welcomed his 5th grandchild in September. Both Tim and Jack enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and watching them grow.

Holiday Card & Inventory Hours

Inventory and Holiday Hours

We cannot believe that it is already December, and we want to thank you for a great 2017! Without you, none of what we do would be possible. As we approach the end of the year, we are now looking to set up an even better 2018! With the end of the year comes everyone’s favorite time of the year, time to count inventory!

Why is it necessary to count inventory every year?  We take the time to count each and every one of our products manually to ensure quality and accounting accuracy. We do this to ensure that we can be the best business partner we can be for you.

While we are busy counting inventory at our headquarters in Westfield, IN, our response time may be slightly delayed as we prepare to serve you in 2018. Physical inventory will take place on Tuesday, December 19th through Thursday, December 21st.

In addition to physical inventory, we will be out of the office Monday, December 25th in observance of the Christmas Holiday, and will return to the office on Tuesday, December 26th. Finally, we will be out of the office Monday, January 1st in celebration of the new year and will be returning Tuesday, January 2nd.

While we may not be in the office, we are still eager and ready to serve you and will follow up on any inquiries as quickly as we can. While we are out, you can still check out all of our great products here! We look forward to working with you in 2018, and Happy Holidays!

Tight Deadlines in Flint Michigan

Have hard deadlines? Need to continue operations during installation without downtime? No problem! Storage Solutions is here to accommodate all of your warehouse needs and ensure your build-out is completed without a hitch.

Recently, a client in Flint, Michigan required new racking to be installed with a short turnaround time and a firm deadline for completion.

Products Installed:

  • Pallet Racking with Skatewheel Carton Flow
  • Wire Mesh Backstops
  • Wire Decking

Project Details

To meet the client’s needs, our team coordinated a “region-by-region” approach to installing the racking within the facility. This action was needed so the customer associates could load the racking and train on picking – essentially continuing their operations – while we completed the installation. The facility was operational throughout the entire project.

SSI install leaders and project managers worked directly with the customer to ensure a fluid transition. This close coordination allowed us to keep the installation moving along efficiently while the customer could also stay up with daily operations. In the end, we were able to complete the project four days ahead of schedule!

IFDA

IFDA

IFDA has come and gone and after a great conference, we can confidently say that we are bringing back invaluable information about the industry. After our few days in Maryland, we are excited to use our new resources to help you!

We learned a great deal of information about the industry’s best practices and how to incorporate them into our business. In addition, the show was a great networking opportunity. Meeting many other people in the industry all over the country gave us the opportunity to learn from their experiences, and implement them in our day-to-day operations. It’s been another terrific trade show and we can’t wait for next year!

Furthermore, Aaron Resiak, one of our attendees, spoke highly of his experience. “IFDA was a great opportunity to learn more about the challenges and hurdles put on the foodservice distribution industry.  Experience from working with previous clients allowed us to share our insights and grow our understanding of the various solutions.  No doubt, we look forward to continuing our support within the foodservice market and appreciate the opportunity to grow our footprint in this valuable industry.”

With the end of IFDA, also comes the end of our 2017 trade show itinerary. Our 2018 upcoming trade shows schedule will be coming soon! Keep an eye out for the updated 2018 trade show list.
