Another recent hire that Storage Solutions would like to recognize is our new Installation Division Manager, Ryan Small. When Ryan joined the team he brought 12 years of installation experience with him. Here at Storage Solutions, Ryan’s job is to oversee the installation division. He manages 10 different crews that travel all over the US, installing Storage Solutions products. Ryan’s division is responsible for quoting labor and for making sure that each project has all the resources needed to complete every job.

Project Spotlight: Indianapolis Nonprofit

At Storage Solutions, we make sure that we put 110% into every job that we do, and we are always ecstatic to hear that our customers agree.  By purchasing used equipment from our inventory, we were able to save this customer over $100,000!  We kept it local for this project; working on a warehouse just outside downtown Indianapolis, and we received great feedback from our customer!

To help keep our customer operational in their main warehouse, we put a project plan together to provide seed rack in the new 85,000 square foot building out of SSI used stock, and we then broke the rest of the project into 4 stages, each beginning with dismantling a portion of their current building and installing at the new location. We added rack protection everywhere we could and replaced all of the customer’s uprights that were damaged or too short, hence maximizing the taller ceiling heights in the new building.

HIGHLIGHTS:

1. Everything we sold them came out of our used inventory

2. We were able to make a lot of last minute changes that saved them money

3. We are providing a credit to them for any material they didn’t want to use at the new building (primarily damaged uprights and some misc. beams).

4. We handled all of the design aspects of their layout to maximize the space

5. The customer took advantage of the opportunity to sell their previous materials back to us, which resulted in even more overall savings.

We tore down some old material for our customer, over 3,500 pallet positions and 450 carton flow pick facings.  We then installed their new equipment, over 5,000 pallet positions and nearly 1,000 carton flow pick facings.

Customer satisfaction is paramount for us, so we made sure that we were with them every step of the way.  Our customer had this to say, “Even with a few bumps to overcome during the project, Storage Solutions always kept our needs first and made changes to make sure we were pleased.”

At Storage Solutions, we know how hard it can be to find the right used equipment for your space. That is why we are always on the lookout for good quality material to house in our 350,000 sq. ft. facility headquartered in Central Indiana. Each item has to pass a rigorous inspection, and is then stored inside a climate controlled facility. The goal is to save our customers money with buying used without having to sacrifice quality.

Recent Warehouse Update:

In an effort to open up even more space for used equipment, we recently tore down 321 bays of rack in our own warehouse to free up more floor storage! Storage Solutions is constantly looking for ways to expand our inventory so we always have what our customers are looking for.

About Angie
Angie works as the Vice President of Project Coordination for our National Accounts Team.  Angie’s day to day operations include order processing, running project audits, and much more.
Angie has been with Storage Solutions for 20 years, and has coordinated projects all over the United States, Mexico and “down under” in Australia.  “I work with a great team and great coworkers,” Angie says, “They work hard so I can do my best work behind the scenes.”

Project Spotlight: West Coast Footwear Manufacturer

Tight timelines were no match for our Kansas City team when it came to getting this California customer up and running. Products Installed: Over 40,000 Pallet Positions of Selective Racking, Powered Conveyor System, Wire Guidance

Their problem / Our Solution: The customer needed to maximize storage space in California while adhering to the fire code, and needed racking on site very quickly.  The Storage Solutions team was able to come up with a plan to maintain the minimum flu space, and have the rack arrive on site within 6 weeks despite current lead times extending out 10 weeks or more!
