Storage Solutions Introduces: VIPERBID INDIANA

We try to do our best to bring you, our faithful customers and readers, the best when it comes to material handling and warehouse solutions.  That’s why we are so excited to finally get to tell you about a little something we’ve been working on to stay true to that promise.

VIPERBID INDIANA is an online auction company that we have officially started up to bring you unprecedented deals on surplus inventory and liquidated assets from across the country.  Not only do we have safety equipment, pallet racking, conveyor systems and other material handling inventory in our auctions, but we also have specialty items at great prices (we’re talking a hot tub, a go kart in excellent condition, etc!)

Viperbid Indiana is actually part of a larger group of Viperbid online auction companies that exist under the Speedrack Group name.  Other auction locations currently include Sparta, MI and will soon spread to other states as well.

Storage Solutions Takes Center Stage (Sort Of)

Way back in February, a friend of Storage Solutions came to us with a request:  would we be able to donate some equipment to Carmel Middle School?  At first, we thought… “did someone steal all the lockers from the halls of CMS?”  Thankfully, that was not the case.  But they did need lockers for a backdrop to be used in the school play!

IMG_2552-resized-600The play went very well and the students even gave a shout out in the printed programs thanking Storage Solutions for allowing them to borrow the lockers.  Not only were we excited to be able to help these young thespians, but it was pretty cool to get to be a part of the community in this way.

Now… about that Tony award for best supporting backdrop?  Anyone?

Storage Solutions Term of the Week: Wire Decking

This Week’s Term Of The Week:  Wire Decking

Wire decking is used in pallet rack and other types of storage rack. Made from galvanized steel, wire decking enables you to store a wider variety of items. This aspect of pallet racking also protects against falling inventory that may result from pallet bundlers or damaged/misplaced pallets.

Wire DeckingThe rack is created with welded wire mesh with integrated support channels that are welded to the bottom of the span that is between the rack beams and carries the load. It can be created to accommodate any depth of rack or beam length. It can also be designed/built for a range of load bearing capacities.

Buying used wire decks can be an extremely easy way to cut down on expenses. Storage Solutions has a large selection of used beams, used uprights, and used wire decks for you to choose from. We specifically store our pallet racks inside our warehouse; that way we can ensure that all of our customers receive the highest quality of used wire decking available.

Nathan Bonagurio, our Tyson Foods, Inc. contact, recently got in touch with us regarding a project our Storage Solutions installation crew completed.  Not only did he have nothing but praise for the professionalism Dallas Neff and his crew conducted themselves with, but he was also pleased when the job was completed “WAAAAY ahead of schedule.”

This Just In: Storage Solutions Receives Rave Reviews!

We know how to talk about Storage Solutions.  We’ve been doing it since 1978!  But sometimes it’s important to know what other people are saying about a company in order to understand who they really are.  Ever wonder what other people are saying about Storage Solutions? VincentZitoWe are excited to introduce another new employee to our Corporate Office. Readers, meet Vince Zito. Vince comes to us from Illinois but is currently living in Noblesville. He has 10 + years as a Project Manager in the commercial construction industry.

Hobbies: family time, hanging out with friends, softball, coaching/playing soccer, football, or anything outdoors

Family: “My wife Carrie and I have been married for 11yrs.  We have 7yr old triplet daughters:  Jaida, Paityn, & Delainie.”

Term Of The Week: Pallet Racking

Storage Solutions Pallet RackPallet rack is a structural storage system that is used to support high stacking of items or palletized loads. This storage systems is designed to store materials on pallets.

There are many types of pallet racking but all types allow for the storage of palletized materials. In order to use the pallet rack system you need to have access to forklift trucks so that you can place the loaded pallets onto the racks for storage. Pallet racks are an essential element in most modern warehouses, manufacturing facilities, retail centers, and other storage and distribution facilities.

Storage Solutions uses many types of pallet racking in their own warehouse. We also sell new and used pallet rack beams and used pallet rack uprights.
