Storage Solutions at ProMat 2019

We are close to the beginning of ProMat in the Windy City! The show starts Monday, April 8th and will run through Thursday, the 11th at the McCormick Place in Chicago, and Storage Solutions will be there!

What is ProMat?

This trade show is the hub of the manufacturing and supply chain industry. With so many attendees showing off their newest ideas and services, ProMat is the place to be when it comes to being in the know. You can learn more about the show on their website here.

What does ProMat attendance mean for Storage Solutions? We have been attending this tradeshow for as long as its existence, nearly 20 years. One of our employees, Tim Fonderoli, will be going to his 17th show! Every year, our employees share and bring back great ideas and innovative practices to help service our customers better.

Nick Nigro, one of our National Account Managers, will be a first-time attendee and is excited to experience the show.

Utilizing Warehouse Design & Ergonomics to Improve Warehouse Productivity

We often examine the positive effects an efficient warehouse design can have on your operation, but what does it mean for your employees? This includes powered conveyor to move items with ease throughout the facility, and Vertical Lift Machines (VLMs) to allow for fast and ergonomic picking with almost no walking being required.

Another dynamic solution we offer is Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). AMRs give your employees the ability to stay in one area to work as opposed to moving around the facility. This keeps employees out of the way off forklifts and other machinery moving throughout the warehouse.

Mark your calendars! On March 20th, Storage Solutions and Fetch Robotics will be hosting a WERC event at our headquarters in Westfield, Indiana to help you learn more about autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) in warehousing. Robotics and automation are overhauling warehouses and changing how work gets done. Even though robotics are relatively new in the warehousing industry, they are quickly making their impact.

We are ecstatic to provide the opportunity to teach you more about robotics and their role in the modern warehouse. This event will highlight the general landscape of this up and coming technology, as well as how it will affect the industry in the near and long-term. This will also include a demonstration and our insight into this new tool and how it can help you.

The demo will talk about some success stories that other companies have had with Fetch AMRs. In addition, we will showcase ways they helped improve operational efficiency, increased man-hour value and made overall operations more profitable.
