The Greatest Spectacle in Racing Celebrates 100th Running!

The Indy 500 is gearing up for its 100th running this year! The greatest spectacle in racing will take place on Sunday, May 29th at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and the entire Hoosier state is buzzing with excitement. The weeks leading up to race have been full of driver practice, qualification rounds, and plenty of behind the scenes work to pull off such a huge event.

One of the biggest changes this year is the lifting of the television blackout. For the first time since 1950 racing fans in Central Indiana will be able to catch the race live instead of waiting for the delayed broadcast like they were forced to in years past. This decision came from IMS officials just days before the event, most likely due to the race being completely sold out this year.

Prior to race day, fans can start celebrating race weekend with Carb Day on Friday, May 27th and Legends Day on Saturday, May 28th. After the race we wrap up the weekend with Memorial Day, and the start of the summer season. In honor of all the men and women who have served and sacrificed for our great country, our offices will be closed on Monday, May 30, and will reopen Tuesday, May 31.

Whether you spend this weekend at the race, on the lake, or enjoying time at home with your family, we wish you a wonderful and safe holiday weekend!
