Pallet Flow Rack Systems
This high-density system, usually used in picking environments, allows multiple pallets to be fed from the load end to the pick end.
The rack bays can be adjusted to a certain depth to meet your desired product capacity. Flow lanes are set on top of beams that vary in height to provide a downward pitch. Pallets of product are placed on these flow lanes that enable the product to flow from back to front. Brakes are then incorporated to control the product speed as it flows forward. This application is usually used in a first in/first out situation (FIFO). If a pallet has a low shelf life, pallet flow is usually the answer.
Various types of gravity roller systems can be used in pallet flow rack, depending on the style, size and weight of the pallets being flowed. A Storage Solutions specialist can help you determine what you need and source it.
