Director of Sales Support
Department: Sales – FDR
Location: Westfield, IN, USA
Employment Type: Full-Time
This position will oversee the activities of & provide leadership for the Project Managers & Project Coordinators that provide sales support for FDR based out of our Westfield office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage & distribute the workload of the entire project management & sales support team
- Manage the productivity of each individual member of the project management & sales support team
- Manage project management & sales support team proficiency and training
- Conduct Mid-Year and End-of-Year Reviews with all Sales Support team members
- Conduct Quarterly Cross-Function reviews across sales and support teams
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution of projects
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track the progress of each open job
- Develop & continuously improve a post-installation follow up plan for more complex projects
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Assist in the continued improvement of & ensure group adherence to company project management processes
- Analyze and review projects after completion to identify improvement opportunities
- Share project results and best practices within the team and company
- Manage individual projects that are generated by the sales team by acting as the project manager
- Manage processes and workflow of team Sales Coordinators
- Stay up to date on all products/systems/offerings within the industry, including systems integration aspects and highly technical, complex solutions
- Collaborate with sales team members to visit customer sites and interface with appropriate customer contacts
- Develop and prepare effective proposals to provide to Accounts/Prospects
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs
- Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Participate in internal projects as required
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated success as a project manager
- Highly detail oriented, ability to manage to critical deadlines
- Ability to multitask effectively & prioritize & execute tasks
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
- Ability to work through project issues with customers in a timely manner
- Technically competent and proficient with various software programs: Excel, Word, Outlook, AutoCAD, SmartSheet
- Proficient in Salesforce CRM and Workload management tools
- Strong written and oral communication skills: In person meetings, email, phone calls
- Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
- Strong technical aptitude – highly knowledgeable of industry systems including complex integrated systems and components
- BA/BS or equivalent experience

WORK CONDITIONS
- Office & field oriented position with some overnight travel to project sites required
