Automated Very-Narrow Aisle (AutoVNA) storage is one of the most efficient and compact types of warehouse. Automated VNA storage trucks, such as the Jungheinrich EKXa, have been specially developed for these environments. These trucks enable the efficient storage and retrieval of load carriers at great heights and, at the same time, offer complete process reliability.
When designing an automated system, it is possible to plan a new warehouse or to automate an existing warehouse space with the help of pallet and clearance detection systems. Applications for AutoVNA
The Jungheinrich automated VNA storage system is designed for environments where space is at a premium and high storage densities are required. The solution is especially suited for both new warehouse builds and the retrofit of existing narrow-aisle racking, enabling efficient storage and retrieval of load carriers at heights up to roughly 13 m.
The system supports heavy loads (up to approximately 1,600 kg) and can achieve travel speeds up to around 9 km/h in typical configurations.
It can operate in closed, dedicated aisles or in mixed traffic/open environments thanks to integrated 360° safety sensor systems, making it applicable in a broad range of warehouse topologies.
