101st Running of the Indy 500
It’s that time again! It’s Memorial Day Weekend, which means one thing to Hoosiers far and wide: The Indy 500.
The 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 will take place on Sunday, May 28th. At noon, the National Anthem will be sung by Top 100 artist Bebe Rexha, followed by “Back Home Again in Indiana” sung by Chicago Blackhawks Singer Jim Cornelison. Drivers will start their engines soon after at 12:14 p.m.
There are many other events going on this weekend in association with the race. The Carb Day concert will feature many artists, and will be headlined by the Steve Miller Band. Race Fans will also be able to see their favorite drivers at an autograph signing event, as well as a historical car show later on in the afternoon.
Saturday will feature another set of artists performing. Dustin Lynch opens for Keith Urban starting at 4:30, and there are many more activities for fans to get more interaction with racers past and present.
A full schedule of events can be found here.
We also use this weekend to remember and honor fallen soldiers, as well as soldiers at home and abroad. In recognition of the holiday, our offices will be closed Monday, May 29th, and reopen again Tuesday, May 30th.
Whether you are at home grilling out or out exploring the city of Indianapolis, all of us at Storage Solutions hope you have a fun and safe Memorial Day Weekend.
