Brandon Pollom – “What Brandon does for FDR&R is much like what engine oil does for a car, keeps it running efficiently and smoothly. Brandon continues to be a leader in the office and has shown he can handle any problem, big or small, with inspiring enthusiasm.”
Carl Greeno – “Carl has been an unsung hero during another rapid year of growth at SSI. His effort and work ethic in supporting each team’s needs may go unnoticed, but is always appreciated. Whenever we get in a bind, Carl shows up and is able to work through the issues and deliver product to our customers! If it weren’t for Carl rolling up his sleeves and doing the dirty work, our company wouldn’t be on the verge of another record year! Cheers to him, and all of his hard work!”
“Let me begin by saying if able, I would have checked off every option above for the reason Carl should be recognized. He has ethically approached each day since 2020 unraveled with an attitude of servicing the needs of our “customer”, Storage Solutions. He has been held accountable for maintaining expenses in a time when costs erupted seemingly overnight and at a level beyond anyone’s imagination in a market stretched beyond what anyone could have envisioned. Carl has looked daily into new ways of finding coverage for otherwise uncoverable shipments and, with few exceptions, held our shareholder value at the top of his goal list. Even though all of this increased his email/call volume by multitudes, he has continued to communicate to the teams with real time information. Given the volume of activity and level of effort required for each individual shipment, LHS has had minimal instances of having to advise a team our most dreaded verdict, “can’t cover”. I listed 9/30/20 as the date of occurrence, but that is merely a reflection of all activity that preceded that date (and will surely carry through year end). Yesterday’s date marked the epitome of chaos in our industry…..a market overwhelmed with shipments, sky rocketing rates, driver shortages, imbalanced lanes, carrier understaffing, seasonal retail upswing and end of month/end of quarter. A full estimate of the money value to SSI ESOP is undeterminable; the figure given is only reflective of what he DID NOT pass on to projects in just 3 months. The impact would have been far more reaching without his diligence, both in hard costs on rates and in soft savings unrealized by keeping the projects supplied. He held rates on lanes that were jumping $200 and more in a week’s time, lanes that went from a cost of $2000 to $3800 within a month, honored quotes that were months old when no one else in this industry would or could and when suppliers defaulted on their quotes – and kept job sites for the most part supplied with material. Even in the midst of frustration and anger, bearing the brunt of both suppliers and irritated drivers, project outcries for deliveries, he managed to do his job with unflappable calm. Freight may be the smallest part of SSI’s project pie, but it can be the piece that keeps the rest of the pie from “pooling out”. Carl is a member of every SSI team and an invaluable one.”
Jill Williams – “Jill regularly goes above and beyond to make sure our team & more importantly our customers are in a position for success. Jill has jumped head first in salesforce and has been a champion in the transitioning process as well as been a lead contributor to the recent CI for increased Utilization for Project Coordination. Jill is always willing to extend a helping hand and is a valuable resource for our entire team. Jill’s positive attitude and team first mentality makes it a joy to work with her. Thanks Jill!”
Judy Yust – “Audits are necessary for our ESOP, EBITA(CASHFLOW) and financials in general and Judy works tirelessly making sense and explaining orders, customer invoices, vendor invoices, revenue, cash receipts etc… hours on end; this all in stride with her daily responsibilities. This happens numerous times and year and she never complains. Judy is an asset to have assisting Bill with the finances and number crunching.”
Kip Lacy – “What more can be said about a guy who spent half of the last month on a jobsite and still was able to do the other aspects of his job. Kip’s dedication and constant positivity is incredible and needs to be recognized by all.”
Kyle Huerkamp – “Kyle has been an invaluable asset to the team. He consistently brings a good attitude and great effort, and is always a pleasure to work with.”
