The Situation
Storage Solutions is always up for a challenge but Project California comes with a challenge of meeting strict seismic standards.
To make sure the rack exceeded these standards without racking up extra expenses, Storage Solutions provided tube rack that fit the seismic requirements, in addition to mezzanines, VRCs and a wire security cage.
The Results
In this 390,000 square foot facility we installed approximately 4760 total bin sections/bays provided in a bin mezzanine; 4,432 – 24”D x 36”W, 328 – 36”D x 36”W, 3 VRCs, 4 Stairs, 44,000 shelves, 34,000 shelf dividers. Including 27,000 beams installed for racking and 1860 bays of tube rack installed for special seismic conditions. Lastly, over 440 linear feet of cantilever installed inside, 528 linear feet installed outside, and a 51’ x 61’ wire security cage installed.
