Meet Storage Solutions new employee, Vince Zito

VincentZitoWe are excited to introduce another new employee to our Corporate Office. Readers, meet Vince Zito. Vince comes to us from Illinois but is currently living in Noblesville. He has 10 + years as a Project Manager in the commercial construction industry.

Hobbies: family time, hanging out with friends, softball, coaching/playing soccer, football, or anything outdoors

Family: “My wife Carrie and I have been married for 11yrs.  We have 7yr old triplet daughters:  Jaida, Paityn, & Delainie.”

Background:  Born and raised in St. Louis Missouri. Moved to Blue Springs Missouri after and have been living here ever since.

Favorite teams: Manchester United (soccer); St. Louis Cardinals (baseball)

New Year, New Faces: Meet Storage Solutions Employee Art Ibarra

As part two of our four-post introduction series, Storage Solutions is excited to introduce you to another new employee, Art Ibarra.

ArtThe most recent addition to our project managing team, Art brings 11 years of industry experience to the table.  Originally from the Chicago area, Art combines his knowledge of steel products with innovative thinking to make project planning efficient and effective.

Background:  Art studied both in Mexico and at University of Illinois Chicago (UIC).

Specializations:  new and used pallet rack (selective, drive-in, pushback, etc.)

Favorite Teams:  San Fransisco 49ers

Hobbies:  Watching movies, golfing and playing tennis.

Storage Solutions Has a New Employee: Jill McElheny

Storage Solutions has a new employee!  I would like to take a few minutes this week to introduce her to everyone.  Let’s get to know a little about Jill.

Born and raised in Carmel, Indiana.

What brought you to SSI?
The marketing opportunities for a company like Storage Solutions were very enticing.  Storage Solutions has been in my family since its inception in 1978 and I wanted to have a chance to work alongside my father and be a part of this company’s success.

What do you do for SSI?
Assistant Director of Marketing and Business Development.

What has been your most interesting experience so far?
The most interesting thing I have realized so far is how fascinating this industry can be.  My previous experience dealt more with marketing for a large non-profit, and it has been fun to adjust those marketing tactics to cater to the material handling industry in as creative a way as possible.

Tell us something interesting about yourself?
My number one bucket list item is to publish a novel.

Meet Storage Solutions Employee Dan Stroh

strohStorage Solutions is excited to announce that we have a new team member!  Dan Stroh has just joined our team of Project Managers at Storage Solutions Inc.  One of Dan’s main responsibilities as a project manager will be taking care of the logistics for the shipping and receiving of pallet rack and material handling equipment.  He will also coordinate with our pallet rack and material handling vendors to make sure that we have an appropriate amount of new storage equipment in stock.  However, his most important responsibility at the moment is assisting in the order entry for new and used pallet rack and storage equipment.  This is to ensure that we are able to process all of the purchase orders and cater to our clients’ needs in a timely manner.

Dan has also been brought on board to help organize a large project we will be undertaking in the near future.  Storage Solutions has decided to add a large refabrication center to our current facility.  We will soon have the ability to refabricate pallet racking uprights and beams, allowing us to customize our storage equipment to the exact specifications of our customers. This is yet another step we are taking towards becoming the industry leaders for pallet racking and material handling equipment.

What is the most interesting job you had before coming to work for Storage Solutions?  “The most interesting job experience I’ve had was working as an intern with the American Leadership Academy.  The Academy is based out of Indianapolis, but they host students in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico every spring.  The added joy from being able to swap the dismal Indiana winter for the sun and beaches of Cabo, along with getting to meet and become friends with many different succesful leaders made for a truly unforgettable experience.”

What excites you the most about being part of the Storage Solutions team?  “While terms like pushback rack, carton flow, and roll form pallet rack were very confusing on day one, I am beginning to understand many of the different terms and applications for the equipment in this industry.  I am just excited to continue learning more about the pallet racking and material handling industry so that I can have a positive impact on the Storage Solutions team.”

What is your most rewarding or satisfying experience, your proudest moment, since you joined Storage Solutions? Being involved with the start up of new divisions and offices (Pharmaceutical / Laboratory, Installation Services, Kansas City, Evansville, Used Division, National Accounts, Marketing / Online Sales, and soon to be announced – Cincinnati) over the years has been very rewarding to me.  We have been fortunate to have hired good people to help sustain our steady growth.

Are you married?  Do you have kid?  What do you enjoy doing with your family? Jackie and I met at Ball State University and have 2 beautiful daughters (Jamie, 19 & Kelsey, 15).  Fortunately they look like their mother.  We enjoy playing sports, games, family cookouts and traveling.  We have been married for 25 years.

How long have you been with Storage Solutions? 1 Year

What do you do?  I project manage for the sales team. I work up project quotes, coordinate freight and installation needs.

Before working here, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had? When I was growing up, ages 12-15, I bailed hay. It is something that has gone by the wayside and I got paid very little for a lot of hard work but it was enjoyable at the time.

Are you married? Do you have kids? What do you enjoy doing with your family?  I am married with 2 kids, ages 1 and 3.  We do just about anything and everything!
