Extending a warm welcome to Brandan Alford!

Brandan recently joined the Storage Solutions team as a Project Manager. In this position, he works closely with our Sales Representatives from the initial quote phase of a project to the completion. Essentially he develops, prepares, and manages turnkey solutions to our customers – taking the stress off their shoulders. Before coming to Storage Solutions, Brandan worked at Covance Laboratories as a Global Study Manager and with the Secretary of State’s Office as an Election Outreach Manager. Prior to starting his career, Brandan received his Bachelor’s degree from Wabash College before going to Ball State University for his Master’s degree.

Brandan enjoys taking full advantage of the social scene in Indy – trying new restaurants and breweries throughout the city and going to sporting events, especially Indians games in the summer. He is a huge sports fan – Purdue, Cubs, Pacers, Colts, and Manchester United, to name a few. The Cubs winning the World Series in 2016 was actually a life highlight for him.  Not only is he a sports fan, but he can be found playing basketball and will get in as many rounds of golf as possible during the summer. He’s also a bit of a news/politics junkie.

Fun fact: Brandan has never left the country and actually still doesn’t even have his passport. London and Ireland are two places on his bucket list.

What do you like best about Storage Solutions?

“The opportunity to work alongside people I like and respect at a company that truly values their employees; but also to do so in a competitive environment that challenges us all to succeed.” – Brandan Alford

Memorial Day Indy 500

Between family BBQ’s, pools opening, and days spent boating, many think of Memorial Day as the unofficial start to summer. For Hoosiers and race fans all over the world it means one thing, The Indianapolis 500.

This year marks the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500. The race will take place on Sunday, May 27 with festivities starting at 8 am. Kelly Clarkson will sing the National Anthem, then the greatest feeling for race fans around the nation begins and the excitement builds. A voice echoes through the track, “Drivers Start Your Engines”.

Following the engine starting, Indiana Pacers’ very own star, Victor Oladipo, will lead the drivers in the pace car. You can find the Indianapolis 500 event schedule here.

More importantly, we use this weekend to remember and honor fallen soldiers, as well as soldiers at home and abroad.

Office Holiday Hours

In recognition of the holiday, our offices will be closed Monday, May 28. We will reopen again Tuesday, May 29 to help with all your summer warehouse needs.

Whether you are at home enjoying the company of your family or attending the Greatest spectacle in racing, all of us at Storage Solutions hope you have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day Weekend!

With a rapidly changing industry, Storage Solutions wants to make sure that we are always up-to-date with the latest trends and business opportunities ahead of us. Our Vice President of Operations, Nathan Storey, saw an opportunity that would help Storage Solutions meet and exceed this goal, which led him to attend the 63rd Annual MHEDA Convention.

Welcome, David Hauck!

As Storage Solutions continues to grow and hire talented new employees, we want to make sure that they are properly introduced to our customers, readers, friends, and partners. Why keep all this excitement to ourselves when David could soon be working with you!

David has six years of experience working for an international telecommunications corporation. He worked in the operations, supply chain, and logistics departments. He was the main point-of-contact for the company’s tier one customer accounts where he handled everything from order entry to material handling and delivery of their products to customer distribution centers. Before starting his career, David attended Wabash College for his undergrad where he thoroughly enjoyed his time in a small college setting.

David enjoys staying in shape and living an active lifestyle by playing golf, basketball and going to the gym. On the weekends you’ll find him either at a sporting event or enjoying a cold beverage and listening to live music with friends and family. He’s also an adventurer. David typically plans a trip to a lake house or ventures out of the country and will go to a place as close to the equator as possible!

What would you like to gain from working at Storage Solutions?

I believe Storage Solutions can offer me the opportunity to manage company projects and allocate company resources on a large scale to build lasting relationships with our customers and vendors. I am also hoping that bringing an outside perspective from a different industry will help SSI continue to build and improve its internal processes and procedures to help streamline business practices.
