New Hire Spotlight: Claire Konz

Welcome to Storage Solutions, Claire Konz!

We are thrilled to welcome Claire Konz to the Storage Solutions team! Claire joins us as a Solutions Engineer out of our Westfield office. She graduated from Purdue University in 2021 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Her previous position was in an e-commerce fulfillment center for a large retailer. She focused on process improvement efforts and effectively utilized a robust labor management system.

Claire has lived in Indiana her entire life & grew up on a small farm near Indianapolis. She enjoys baking items such as pie (crust and all) but especially making her onion scones. They won her championship at the county fair! Claire plays the violin and has since the age of 6. One interesting fact about Claire, she is a 4th generation Purdue engineer. Boiler up!

What are you most excited about with working at Storage Solutions?

“I am most excited to be able to work in a job where I can use my favorite parts from my favorite classes in school. I am also looking forward to being able to use those skills to enable impactful change for our clients.”

New Hire Spotlight: Renn Martin

 

Welcome to Storage Solutions, Renn Martin!

We are thrilled to welcome Renn Martin to the Storage Solutions team! Renn joins us as a Project Manager out of our Westfield office.

Renn is a recent Indiana University Kokomo grad with a degree in Business Management and Marketing. His previous job was as a project manager for a property management company overseeing renovations from start to finish of rental properties throughout central Indiana.

He grew up in a small town called Amboy and graduated from Oak Hill High School in 2018. Renn recently got engaged and is excited for that next chapter in his life. Renn enjoys staying active with many different sports such as disc golf, basketball, and volleyball outside of work. He also spends quite a bit of time watching F1 Racing and binging several other tv shows on various streaming platforms.

What are you most excited about with working at Storage Solutions?

“I am most excited to work for a company that gives its employees tools to be great at their job and grow both in and outside of work. I am also looking forward to working with so many different people and to continue to build on the fantastic company culture.”

New Hire Spotlight: Steve Sharkey


Welcome to Storage Solutions, Steve Sharkey!

We are excited to welcome Steve Sharkey to the Storage Solutions Team! Steve joined our Kansas City team as a National Account Manager.

Steve was born and raised in Kansas City. He graduated from Avila University in Kansas City, where he studied advertainment & public relations. After graduation, he worked as a Producer/Office Manager for a local Farmers Insurance agency. Most recently, he spent the last ten years as an Accountant Executive with Freightquote by CH Robinson. His role was to help save on shipping through modes and solutions.

Steve has two kids, Grace (13) and Hunter(12). He enjoys fishing and being outdoors! Additionally, spending time at his lake house. Although, most of his time is spent watching/chauffeuring his kids to their sporting events. Steve was very athletic growing up and played 12 years of rugby for the Kansas City Blues, a local men’s rugby club. He also comes from a large family. He’s the 17th grandchild out of 24 on his dad’s side!

New Hire Spotlight: Lauren Zak

Welcome to Storage Solutions, Lauren Zak!

We are pleased to welcome Lauren Zak to the Storage Solutions team! Lauren is the new Director of Business Development. She will be working remotely from Cleveland, Ohio.

Lauren was born & raised in the Cleveland, Ohio, area. She studied marketing & business administration at Kent State University & graphic design at the University of Akron. Lauren spent the last seven years at Concept, Ltd., a B2B sales agency focused on the material handling industry. There she worked to diagnose, build strategy & execute solutions to overcome business obstacles related to marketing, business development, sales process & CRM adoption.

In her free time, Lauren loves to cook & make craft cocktails, enjoys tending to her 50+ houseplants, frequents her yoga studio, & spends summers in her garden or on the beaches of Lake Erie. She’s excited to join SSI’s skilled & experienced team and is unmistakably focused on continuous improvement & company growth!

New Hire Spotlight: Nick Bower

 

Welcome to Storage Solutions, Nick Bower!

We are thrilled to welcome Nick Bower to the Storage Solutions team! Nick joins us as a Project Manager out of our Westfield office. He graduated from Purdue University in 2020 with a degree in Selling and Sales Management. His last job was with Sherwin-Williams as an Assistant Manager. There, he helped manage a Sherwin-Williams retail paint store. He was on the front lines servicing customers while also working behind the scenes on product inventory, generating sales leads, and more.

Outside of work, Nick enjoys playing with his Cavapoo, Nash. One of his newest hobbies is riding his Peloton! He tries to get a ride each morning to start his day off right. Nick is also a very friendly extrovert. He loves talking and working with others toward a common goal.

Nick’s motto is “forget about the past, live in the present, and focus on the future. Mistakes are made, and sometimes you will fail, but dwelling on the past does no good. You learn from it and move on.”

New Hire Spotlight: Lisa Calderon

 

Welcome to Storage Solutions, Lisa Calderon!

We are excited to welcome Lisa Calderon to the Storage Solutions Team! Lisa joins us in the Accounts Receivable role out of our Westfield office.

Lisa’s experience consists of 6 years at KIWI-TEK, a medical coding company.  There she was the Accounts Receivable Manager but also assisted in several other areas such as AP and HR.  Lisa originally majored in Opera and Music Theater but switched to Human Services via Ivy Tech.

When she’s not working, Lisa enjoys spending time with her 11-year-old daughter courtside at her basketball games.  She also sings and hopes to get involved in local theatre again one day.  A few other hobbies of Lisa include collecting soap and being outdoors!  Lisa’s personal motto: “If you want to be somebody else, change your mind.”

New Hire Spotlight: Taylor Heise

 

Welcome to Storage Solutions, Taylor Heise!

We are pleased to welcome Taylor Heise to her new position on the Storage Solutions team. Taylor joined our Talent & Communications team as the Training & Talent Coordinator. She will be working out of our Westfield office, handling many aspects of the onboarding process.

Taylor graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Kinesiology and minors in Organizational Leadership & Supervision and Human Development & Family Studies. Since then, she has worked for many non-profit, community-focused organizations assisting them with streamlining onboarding processes and training staff on a wide variety of topics.

In her free time, Taylor enjoys gardening, exercising, DIY projects, the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family. You’ll often find her camping or hiking new trails most weekends! She also enjoys traveling. Her most recent road trip adventure was to Utah, Arizona, and Nevada.

What are you most excited about with working at Storage Solutions?

New Hire Spotlight: Justin Furgason

Welcome to Storage Solutions, Justin Furgason!

We are thrilled to welcome Justin Furgason to the Storage Solutions team! Justin joins us as a National Account Manager for our Westfield office. He is homegrown from the Indianapolis area and attended Ball State University.  While there, he studied Business Management.

Justin has spent the past 9 years in construction staffing.  Supplying skilled labor solutions to commercial, industrial, and residential clients. He held roles as a sales executive, general manager, and finally, district manager servicing Indianapolis, Lafayette, South Bend, and central Illinois.

When he’s not working, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 young daughters, hiking, watching the Colts and Pacers, attending concerts, and trying new things.  He also likes traveling which includes visits to the beach and cruises!

What are you most excited about with working at Storage Solutions?

New Hire Spotlight: Alex Franklin

We are pleased to welcome Alex Franklin to the Storage Solutions team. Alex joined our Kansas City team as a Project Manager.

Alex is from Kansas City, MO, and graduated from the University of Missouri in 2020. He received a bachelor’s degree in Business Admin. with an emphasis in Finance. Since then, he has worked at Walmart’s Home Office in Arizona, where he leased space for Sporting Goods, Ladies, and Jewelry & Accessories business. Alex is an adventurer who likes to travel, hunt, work out, and scuba dive in his free time. The mantra Alex likes to follow is a US Navy SEAL saying, “The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday.”  He wants to challenge himself to grow both mentally and physically.

What are you most excited about with working at Storage Solutions?

New Hire Spotlight: Colton Page

Welcome to Storage Solutions, Colton Page!

We are pleased to welcome Colton Page to the Storage Solutions team! Colton joins us as a Project Manager and Sales Support Associate out of our Westfield office. Colton has prior knowledge and experience in project management. His last position was with Hogan Mayflower as a Labor Supervisor.

Colton graduated from Wabash College in 2020 with a degree in Political Science and minors in Business and History. Colton played offensive line for 15 years and decided to hang up his cleats after a concussion in college.  At his peak strength, Colton could squat 630 lbs. and bench around 415 lbs.  He still holds the squat record at Lafayette Jefferson High School.  Along with Colton’s passion for football, he also enjoys playing bass guitar and watching documentaries on just about anything.

What are you most excited about with working at Storage Solutions?
